SEND YOUR NAILS

Lift your voice. Assert your dignity.

If you’ve been silenced by a violent act, you have been wounded. But that’s not the end of the story! Send back the tools of force, the nails used against you, to the power that abused you.

You’ve been pushed aside and silenced, but that is not the last word. You can reclaim the inalienable right of your voice by returning the nails of violence used against you to your abuser.

Choose a design that fits your circumstances from among those below.

We encourage you to print the generic note provided on the reverse side. You can also add your own note. If you don’t want the pre-written text, just don’t print the back page. The note reads:

Dear

You have tried your very best to overcome my voice. Yes, you drowned my small voice. Yes, you displayed your might against my soft body. You proved that flesh is not impervious to force. You proved that I bleed. But the story is not over.

But did you silence me? Did you bury my story? Did you change history? No, that is where your loud and impressive tools of force utterly fail.

Force is quick. You chose force. You chose the God of Violence. My body and soul are wounded. My dignity is not. Mine is the truth. Mine the future. My firm, soft voice will overcome violence. Following your successful crucifixion of me, I am Returning the Nails, the tools of violence to you. These nails are yours, not mine.

How will you then live?
